Bjergtaget LARP

We are running Bjergtaget (In the Halls of the Mountain King) at the Odd Fellows Lodge in Belmont on August 2nd, 2026 (Sunday 5-9PM). This is a Nordic mostly nonverbal dance-larp about humans with daily routines and community being taken by the fae, creatures of the elements and magic. This game is also called "Spellbound' and was written for the Stockholm Scenario Festival by Maria & Jeppe Bergmann Hamming and then heavily modified by July to portray a Jewish community version. A big thank you to July for their blessings for this run.

For sign-ups, you can decide to be Fae, Human, or Flexible. We'll need to have roughly even numbers and you can decide at the game itself what you want to play. The Fae gameplay is one of power, magic, and being the seducer- Fae always leads in the movement and dance. Humans focus on community, freedom, and being seduced- Humans always follow in movement and dance. The game is fully transparent and we'll share the materials beforehand. No actual reading prep is needed to play the game. If you are interested in playing, you can sign-up on our Odd Fellows: Bjergtaget (Aug 2nd, 2026) sheet and no obligations if something comes up.

Please bring two sets of clothes unless you are definitively fae or human- Fae will be all white and humans will be all black costuming. If you happen to have colored scarves and fae-looking masks for people to borrow (bonus points for air/earth/fire/water themes), that would be lovely.
